After giving up 5 goals on 26 shots against Seattle last week, Matt Murray has now stopped a combined 65 of the last 68 shots he has faced against the Flyers and Predators.
Last night, not only did he stop 31 of 32 shots, but he made a ridiculous Dominik Hasek-like save early in the first period which could have changed the momentum of the game drastically. Following the game, Sheldon Keefe had some very high praise for Murray.
"I'm not sure there's been a lot of nights when you could say the goaltender won us the game. In a lot of ways, you could say that tonight."
-Keefe on Murray's performance against the Preds
Murray was sensational and held down the fort in the third when there were more than a few mad scrambles in front of him. He's now 11-4-2 on the season with a 2.48 GAA and a .919 save percentage.
