Last night's Battle of Ontario was a classic with the Leafs holding on for a 5-4 shootout win, despite blowing a 2-goal lead in the third period. The Sens dominated most of the game with Matt Murray stopping 48 of 52 shots, but unfortunately the Sens got a pair of lucky bounces on their first and fourth goals.

The shootout went 9 rounds, with Alexander Kerfoot finally netting the winner in the ninth round. It was the Leafs' second shootout of the week after falling 2-1 against Colorado Wednesday. Following the game, Sheldon Keefe was asked what it felt like on the bench when the shootout goes 18 shooters deep. His response was comical, to say the least.

"I dunno. I was just waiting to go home." - Keefe on enduring a 9-round shootout

Keefe felt like all of us watching the shootout last night, just wanting it to end. He has called it a skills competition in the past and is not a fan of it, like many fans. Thankfully, the NHL could be moving towards a longer 3-on-3 OT period in an attempt to lower the chances of games going to a shootout even further.
