As reported by Mark Masters of TSN, Joseph Woll will be the starting goaltender tonight with ATO goalie Matt Onuska of the Windsor Spitfires backing him up in the event of an injury.
Dubas also touched on the injured Murray, who left the game after being knocked down in his crease in a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings back on April 2nd. As the team has been monitoring his situation on a day-to-day basis, Dubas confirmed today that the goaltender has a concussion and is not on the Leafs' current road trip. Although he has not played since suffering the injury, Dubas stated that Murray has been "progressing" over the last nine days, but the team has yet to determine a timeline for return.
Murray has a 14-8-2 record this season with a 3.01 GAA and a 0.903 SV%.
Additionally, Dubas revealed that Ilya Samsonov is also dealing with an injury. He announced today that the projected Game 1 starter is done for the regular season and will not suit up tonight or for Thursday's regular-season finale against the New York Rangers. Dubas noted that he had been dealing with "bumps and bruises" but did not get into specific details.
Samsonov has a 27-10-5 record this season with a 2.33 GAA and a 0.919 SV%.
