Leafs Legend weighs in on Jack Campbell's impressive season

If there's one topic I'll never tire of writing about, it's Jack Campbell's stellar 54 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The fans have taken notice, the league has taken notice, and now a Leafs legend has taken notice.

When Curtis Joseph was asked about Jack Campbell on Sportsnet's Real Kyper and Bourne on Sportsnet's 590 The Fan, he had this to say:

«In Toronto, without a contract, these are high pressure situations. I'm always impressed with him because he's such a late bloomer. I think people are skeptical waiting for the other shoe to drop, but he just doesn't let it drop. He'll make that [first] save and he's ready for the next one.»

High praise coming from the best Leafs goalie in the past 20 years. If anyone knows about the pressures of playing in Toronto without a contract extension, it's Cujo. Let's hope the Leafs learn from their own historical blunders and move heaven and earth to retain Jack's services.
