There are over three months until the NHL's 2023-24 season kicks off on October 11th, but before then, fans will see their favourite teams return to the ice during the preseason. Last week, the Leafs had announced their preseason schedule. Here's a look at the Leafs' this year's preseason matchups:
In late September, the Leafs will return to playing eight preseason games for the first time since the 2019-2020 season. The COVID-19 pandemic saw the Leafs play one or two fewer games during the preseason.
As someone who attended both of the Leafs' double-header preseason games against Ottawa last September, I highly recommend attending one if you can. The tickets are always cheaper than the skyrocketed regular season prices at Scotiabank Arena, and they tend to play a game in smaller communities as well, making it much more accessible for fans in other areas. This year, they'll be playing in St. Thomas, Ontario, a city located south of London, ON and the hometown of none other than former Leaf, Joe Thornton.
