While Dubas solidified the Leafs top 4 yesterday with the addition of Mark Giordano and also added forward Colin Blackwell to shore up the team's bottom-6, Dubas is likely not done just yet.

The Leafs will be on the ice around 12pm today and by then they should know more about Ondrej Kase's injury situation and if he will be placed on LTIR due to the possible concussion he suffered Saturday night in Nashville.

Should he be placed on LTIR, the Leafs will gain just over another million in cap space. In addition to the possibility of cap space acquired in putting Kase on LTIR, Mrazek was placed on waivers yesterday. If he clears, the Leafs will then have around $3 million in cap space and if he is claimed, the Leafs will have around $5 million in cap space.

Unfortunately, the Leafs will not know Mrazek's fate until 2pm EST, when yesterday's waiver period expires. This would give Dubas an hour to put the newly acquired cap space to work to acquire another goalie and/or forward.

The Leafs also signed Harri Sateri yesterday, who backstopped Finland to Olympic gold earlier this year. He however, is at least a week away from joining the team due to visa permits, if he clears waivers. So don't expect the Leafs to make any deals of significance until after 2pm unless it is dollar in and dollar out.
