After missing the last six games with an unspecified injury, veteran Leafs blueliner Jake Muzzin appears set to draw back into the lineup tonight against the Detroit Red Wings.

Prior to this undisclosed injury, Muzzin had missed twenty games with a concussion suffered against the Montreal Canadiens back on February 21st. The worry for Leaf fans is that this latest undisclosed injury is related to the previous concussion. However, the Toronto Leafs are not providing much details relating to injuries at this point in the season, and it is unknown what this most recent injury was. Sheldon Keefe did state that Muzzin's injury was a new injury, so we can take that for what it's worth.

Muzzin was taking morning skate paired with T.J. Brodie - a pair that could be used come playoff time in a shutdown role. So far this season, Jake Muzzin has 3 goals and 11 assists through 45 games played. He averages 20 minutes and 48 seconds of ice time, good for fourth on the team.

The 33-year-old is signed for two more seasons after this one, carrying a cap hit of $5,625,000.
