Leafs heading to Traverse City for prospect tournament; schedule and attendees announced
We may still have a little over a month and a half to wait until the 2023-24 regular season kicks off and a little over a month for the preseason, but we'll get to see some Leafs hockey in a few weeks, thanks to the Detroit Red Wings.
The Red Wings are once again hosting their annual Traverse City Prospects tournament and the Leafs have received an invite, along with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Dallas Stars. The tournament is set to take place from September 14th through 17th.
Per the website, the Leafs are set to square off against the Blue Jackets on September 14th at 3:30pm to kick off the tournament. The Leafs will then play the Stars at 6:30pm on September 15th before a day off on September 16th, concluding the tournament in a 2pm game against the Red Wings on September 17th.
I know it's only prospect hockey, but after a long, dry summer, it will be nice to watch some hockey. It will be a nice precursor to training camp and the preseason.
