Leafs lose yet another defenseman to injury
Already without Timothy Liljegren, Jordie Benn and Carl Dahlstrom, the Leafs appear to have lost Victor Mete to a foot injury. Mete blocked a shot from Nick Robertson during morning skate while the Leafs were working on powerplays and penalty kills.
Mete hobbled to the bench on one foot and spent the next few minutes talking to the training staff on the bench before heading to the room. Mete was scheduled to play in tonight's game against the Wings, but that seems unlikely now. William Villeneuve was listed on the roster for tonight, but was not at practice this morning and would be first in line to play tonight if Mete is unable to.
Mete will likely be day-to-day until further testing is done and hopefully that's all it is as the Leafs don't have much depth left on their blueline.
