Last night before their successful 6-2 road win against the Florida Panthers, many of the Leafs took part in their usual pregame ritual of playing keep-up with a soccer ball in the loading bay. However, in what seemed like a final round between William Nylander and Alexander Kerfoot, the game ended abruptly when Kerfoot kicked the ball toward the ceiling and broke some of the tiles.
While most of the guys, particularly Michael Bunting, reacted as if they were children about to get in trouble for breaking something and running away from the scene, Kerfoot stayed back and at least tidied up the mess he made before joining the others.
This isn't the first time the other team's players have accidentally damaged things in teams' arenas. And it's all in good fun. By the end of the game, the ceiling had already been fixed.
