Ty Voit was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 draft by the Leafs and is currently having a breakout season for the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. Voit is the OHL's leading scorer and has registered 16 goals, 64 assists, and 80 points in 53 games so far this season.

Last night, he and the Sting were playing the Peterborough Petes, and it was just another game for Voit until there was just over a minute to play. With the Sting up 6-3, Voit corralled the puck at the top of the crease and slid it past the Petes' goaltender to make it 7-3. A few seconds after he scored, Voit was against the glass celebrating when the Petes' Artyem Guryev skated through and hit Voit in the back of the head.

Voit's head got sandwiched between the glass and Guryev and he stayed down on the ice for a few minutes as his teammates attempted to go after Guryev, who was being protected by a linesman.

Guryev will likely be suspended for his actions. He has already been suspended four times in his OHL career, totalling 16 games.
