One of those prospects is Saskatoon Blades forward Brandon Lisowsky. In his last three games, he has produced a whopping 12 points. He currently sits second on the Blades in points with 37 (18 goals & 19 assists) in 28 games played. That is also good for 18th in the entire WHL. Another positive thing about the player's development is that he is playing on a real good Saskatoon team. The Blades currently hold a record of 23 wins and 5 losses, which seats them third in the WHL. Developing in a winning culture and environment is always a positive.
After putting up 58 points (33 goals & 25 assists) in 68 games for the Blades last season, the 18-year-old Lisowsky was drafted by the Leafs in the 7th round (218th overall) of the 2022 NHL entry draft. Some may not know this, but some had him projected to go as a late 2nd rounder or a 3rd rounder in the 2022 draft. However, likely due to his size, he slipped to the Leafs in the 7th round. While he might not be the most well-known Leafs prospect, he is certainly making a name for himself in Saskatchewan.
