Morgan Rielly has been out of the Leafs' lineup since late November with an MCL sprain. He suffered the injury against the New Jersey Devils after colliding knee on knee with Kyle Palmeri. At the time, the Leafs said that he would be 4-6 weeks away from returning. We are currently at the 5 week mark since it occurred and Rielly has been skating with the injured Rasmus Sandin at practice.

Following the gameday skate Tuesday, Sheldon Keefe called both "day-to-day" however, it appears that Rielly is ready to return. At practice today, he was skating alongside Timothy Liljegren. Not only that, but the Leafs placed Victor Mete and Nicholas Robertson on LTIR the on Tuesday to provide enough cap relief to activate Rielly and his $7.5M cap hit off of this week LTIR.

Rielly will make his return to the lineup Thursday night against Arizona, per Keefe and is likely resume his duties as the quarterback on the first power play, which has gone an abysmal 8 for 46 since he went down.

The Leafs went a surprising 12-2-1 without Rielly in the lineup while he was sidelined.
