Several of the Leafs' top players got off to slower starts than normal this season, but now that the team really seems to be rolling, nobody's dwelling on the past. The Buds are now up to 50 points on the season, good for 3rd in the overall standings and a lot of their success can be chalked up to the play of the team's top line.

Auston Matthews, Michael Bunting and William Nylander have formed the single-most potent trio in the NHL over the last 20 games, leading the league in goals for at 5v5 while they're on the ice. That's right - Matthews, Bunting and Nylander sit 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the entire NHL over the last TWENTY games!

As you can see from the graphic above, the trio also more than holds their own defensively, allowing next to nothing for the opposition over the same span. In addition, their goals for percentage is off the charts.

I guess it's safe to suggest that Sheldon Keefe won't swap Nylander and Marner back anytime in the foreseeable future. Matthews, Bunting and Nylander are absolutely dominating right now and I'm sure we're all here for it.
