Nylander is riding an impressive 15-game point streak, notching 22 points in 15 games to begin his 2023-24 season - in a contract year to boot. Nylander, who has enjoyed every second of his trip home to play in front of his family and friends in Stockholm skated in his usual spot with John Tavares and Tyler Bertuzzi on Friday, ahead of today's 2:00 pm ET clash against the Red Wings.
The top line remains untouched, with Auston Matthews centering Matthew Knies and Mitch Marner. Another of the team's Swedish forwards, Calle Jarnkrok, skated with 22-year-old Nick Robertson and newly minted 3rd line center Max Domi, reprising a line that has been absolutely electric of late, to round out the top 9 forwards.
Swedish defenseman William Lagesson will play on Friday, skating next to Simon Benoit on the Leafs' third pairing, with fellow Swede John Klingberg not healthy enough to go today. Klingberg appears to be joining Ryan Reaves and the injured Conor Timmins in the press box at Avicii Arena in Stockholm for this one. Here's a full look at the lineup:

The Leafs and Red Wings have not met yet this season, but did split games to close out the pre-season, with the Leafs winning a 4-3 OT decision on October 5th, while the Red Wings won a 4-3 decision at home on October 7th. It should be a good one from Stockholm this afternoon.
