When the Tampa Bay Lightning inserted Tanner Jeannot into the lineup ahead of Game 2, you knew sparks would fly when you account for his 11 fighting majors and 107 PIMs in just 76 games this season - that coming off the back of 130 PIMs last year and his 14 fighting majors.

The Toronto Maple Leafs were seemingly toying around with the Lightning as they entered the third period. Might've been one of their best games all season and they never let off the gas pedal either.

Things were a little chippy at the beginning of the game when Zach Bogosian dropped the gloves with Mark Giordano but all hell broke loose from the midway mark of the third period, which included the aforementioned Jeannot dropping the gloves with Luke Schenn.

With a shade over 11:35 remaining in the third period and in their own zone, Jeannot tried enticing Schenn to drop the gloves off the face-off. He declined and as the play continued Schenn and Jeannot went towards the net before the latter parked right in front of his net to defend the porch, while the latter was in a board battle. Jeannot broke loose and went straight towards the net, had a shoving match with Schenn before finally dropping their gloves.

It was a spirited bout with both heavyweights chucking fists, giving Schenn the upper-hand and the advantage in this bout as he got Jeannot with a several left-hands "right on the button" as Jim Bowen exclaimed.

The aftermath of that fight was revealed earlier today when Luke Schenn showed his seven stitches along his hairline that was opened up by Jeannot's knuckles:

"He knows what he's doing"

With Game 3 scheduled for tonight in enemy territory and the Lightning in need of a spark, expect Jeannot to be right in the middle of things once again.
