Many expected a goaltending duel in the Leafs/Bolts series, but it's been criminally bad on both sides

With all the talk of how Tampa held a massive edge in goaltending coming into the series, Campbell has done his part to trim that edge including posting a shutout in Game 1. Since then, both goalies have been far from perfect as offense has not been difficult to come by for either team.

Both Campbell and Vasilevskiy have alternated poor performances with both currently being 2-2 and holding very similar numbers. Campbell has a save percentage of .889 and GAA of 3.53 while Vasilevskiy has posted a save percentage of .888 and GAA of 3.54. For something Tampa was supposed to have an extreme advantage in, Campbell and the Leafs have done a good job in solving the Conn Smythe Trophy winner. Is Vasilevskiy tired? There's a good possibility. He's played a ton of hockey the past 3 seasons including playoffs and started 63 games this past season.

Both goalies have had their numbers skewed a bit by powerplay goals, Campbell more so than Vasilevskiy, but so far goaltending in the series has been well below average. As long as Campbell gives the Leafs average or slightly above average goaltending the rest of the series, there is no reason why the Leafs shouldn't be able to win this series in 6 or 7 games, with home ice in 2 of their 3 remaining games.
