Mark Giordano and T.J. Brodie have been teammates for a long time. So long that they can tell just how much the other has changed over the years while playing in different cities together.
Originally an undrafted player, Giordano signed with the Calgary Flames in 2004. He played for 15 seasons with the Flames, serving as their captain for his final eight before being selected by the Kraken in last year's expansion draft and eventually being traded to the Leafs at the deadline that same season.
Brodie was selected 114th overall by the Flames in the 2008 draft and started playing professionally in 2010. After ten years in Calgary, he signed with the Leafs as a free agent, leading to the eventual reunion between he and Giordano last season.
But has anything changed since the defensive pair's move to Toronto? Giordano seems to think it has.
Both Giordano and Brodie are Ontario boys. Gio is from Toronto, and Brodie grew up not too far away, about three hours southwest of the city in Chatham. So it can be assumed they both thought about what it'd be like to wear the blue and white one day, and now they're living it.
