McDavid crashes into the net hard, leaves game against the Penguins
There could be some trouble on the horizon for the Edmonton Oilers after Connor McDavid took a nasty spill into the Pittsburgh Penguins' net after getting tied up with Pens defenseman Jeff Petry.
McDavid was in obvious discomfort after the play and was very slow to get up. He appeared to tweak something in his back after sliding hard into the post, back-first.
Thankfully for the Oilers, their fearless leader did return and continued taking shifts. This is one, however, where it wouldn't be surprising to see McDavid wind up on the day-to-day list.
