Leafs rookie Michael Bunting left Saturday night's game between the Panthers and Leafs after an awkward fall behind the net in the first period.
Bunting was fighting for the puck with Aleksander Barkov, when the pair of them got tangled along the boards. The fall didn't look overly hard, and Bunting popped back up afterwards, but headed down the tunnel to the dressing room shortly afterwards.
The Maple Leafs have yet to provide an update on Bunting's condition, and he hasn't returned. The longer he remains out of the game the less likely it is that its just an equipment issue. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they come.
