The Tampa Bay Lightning were without question the more physical team in their matchup with the Leafs on Tuesday night, outhitting the Buds 33-20 and taking all sorts of liberties on the Leafs' players, particularly Michael Bunting.

Not only was Bunting nailed in the numbers by Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov in the game, but he was also the target of this nasty slash on the hand/wrist by Bolts defenseman Mikhail Sergachev that went uncalled:

Look - I know that Bunting is always around it, mixing it up with the opposing players and trying to draw penalties and I get that the officials aren't going to give him every single call. But this one is a clear-cut infraction and occurs nowhere NEAR the puck. This absolutely HAS to be called,100% of the time. There are clearly two officials down below the Tampa blueline who have a great angle on the slash. It simply has to be called.

This one might not be enough to warrant a suspension for Sergachev, but it is certainly worthy of a fine. Pierre Engvall was just suspended for "intent to injure". What on earth does the league call this? A hack to the hands of an unsuspecting player clear for all to see at center ice is not a hockey play. It just isn't.
