Mitch Marner admits following Wednesday's OT win that Toronto carjacking still weighs on him

With a lot of the focus being on mental health yesterday, Leafs winger Mitch Marner took it upon himself to address the issue with the media following his team's 3-2 OT win over the Rangers on Wednesday. Marner brought up the subject completely unprompted, and reminded folks never to be afraid to talk to someone about their personal issues.

While on the subject, Marner was asked for a follow-up on how he's been doing since the reported carjacking back in May, during which his Range Rover was stolen at gunpoint. Marner admitted to seeking help with his mental health following the incident and also revealed that he still does talk about it.

Marner mentioned that there are still times where the incident bothers him and weighs on him, stating that sometimes, when he's getting into his car late at night or when he gets a strange vibe when he's in a certain area or environment, but emphasized that he's really

"You want everyone to be perfect and love each other in this world, but sometimes it doesn't happen. So, you just have to be aware out there and if something does happen to you, I think you shouldn't be afraid to reach out and talk to someone and try and figure out how to get yourself out of it. It's not a bad idea to every just talk to someone about anything."
