Mitch Marner is currently on a 10 game point streak if you include tonight's game and has registered 17 points over that stretch. Over his last 15 games he has been held pointless just twice and has not been held pointless in consecutive games since December 15th and 17th. That's a span of 44 games where he has only been held pointless 8 times.

As Marner plays in his 500th game tonight, it's no surprise that with his production, he has set a Leaf franchise record for most points in a player's first 500 games. Heading into tonight's game, he had 546 points and with an assist in the first period, he now has 547 points in 500 games.

Unfortunately for Marner, his record may not last long as Auston Matthews will likely shatter it next season. Matthews has 532 points in just 472 games and was the fastest Leaf to 500 points - hitting the mark against the Blues earlier this season.
