On Friday, Leafs goaltender Petr Mrazek shared some pics of his new Heritage Classic gear on his Instagram page. His pads, along with his blocker and trapper, are primarily navy blue with white accents. The pads have a white "T" split between the middle of the pads to represent the Toronto Arenas, which will match the jersey's the team will be wearing next Sunday.
Mrazek is coming off of a pair of starts in consecutive games -- his first starts in back-to-back games this season -- but he looked very shaky in his second of the contests against the same Buffalo Sabres that they'll face next week at Tim Hortons Field.
Sheldon Keefe confirmed on Friday that Jack Campbell will be back between the pipes for the Leafs on Saturday night when the Leafs play host to the Vancouver Canucks. A strong performance by Campbell in this game might be enough to influence the coaching staff to give him another steady run as the team's #1 goaltender. A disappointing outing likely turns the net right back over to Mrazek.
My gut tells me that the nod in the Heritage Classic likely will go to the All-Star, Jack Campbell, but it's really anyone's guess at this point.
