During the most recent edition of his 32 Thoughts podcast, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman the Edmonton Oilers and, in specific, Connor McDavid are going to have a big night against the Colorado Avalanche.

Obviously, to suggest that McDavid is going to have a good game is sort of like guessing the grass will be green this year, but Friedman went so far as to say that he feels as though McDavid is going to have himself a "monster Game 4". What does a monster night look like for Connor McDavid?

"He might play 35 minutes on Monday night"

-Friedman on McDavid's projected ice time for Monday's Game 4

Friedman went on to joke that the Oilers should just play him 40 minutes - two full periods worth of hockey. The message on the program was basically that if it's one or done for the Oilers, Jay Woodcroft should just run his best players into the ground and throw as much of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid at the Avs that he possibly can.

"I'm with you. If you're gonna go down, go down swinging with your big guys."

-Marek touching on Friedman's comments about McDavid playing as much as possible on Monday

This is going to be must-watch hockey on Monday night. The Avs either pull off the sweep and punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals or the Oilers, without two integral pieces in Evander Kane (suspended) and Kailer Yamamoto (injured) are going to will themselves into a Game 4 win and force a Game 5 back in Denver. Either way, I think McDavid will be firing on all cylinders, which is always fun to watch.
