With the Florida Panthers taking care of business against the Boston Bruins in Game 7 and the Seattle Kraken doing the same with the defending Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche, the NHL has released the schedule for the first 2 games in each series of Round 2 with just one first round game still left to be played tonight, between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils.
The Carolina Hurricanes will play host to the winner of the Rangers and Devils on the 3rd and 5th of May, the Kraken will head out to Dallas to play the Stars on the 2nd and 4th of May, and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl will lead the Edmonton Oilers into Vegas on the 3rd and 5th of May to face off against the Golden Knights.
The Maple Leafs will be playing in the second round for the first time since 2003-04 against the Panthers, who just pulled off the biggest upset in post-season history, according to Sportsnet, as they defeated the Bruins, who were 43 points better than them in the regular season, in overtime last night in Game 7 to steal the series.
