NHLer arrested, charged with DUI in Sweden
New York Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello issued a statement on Wednesday evening regarding a member of the Isles D corps, who was arrested for driving under the influence while back home in Sweden.
We were made aware immediately of the situation regarding Sebastian Aho. We have a copy of the police report indicating that he registered a 0.03 blood alcohol content, which is .01 over Sweden's legal limit of .02. Sebastian apologizes for his mistake and as an organization we will work with him to make sure this never happens again. Aho, 26, suited up in just 36 contests for the Isles last season, scoring twice and adding 10 assists for a total of 12 points over that span. "The other Sebastian Aho" was drafted by the Isles back in 2017 NYI. He was a 5th round pick (139th overall).
