Nazem Kadri injures Blues G Jordan Binnington with huge hit in pursuit of a rebound
Just when you thought everything was unusually quiet on the Nazem Kadri front in these Stanley Cup Playoffs, right on cue, Kadri is back in the headlines after colliding with Blues netminder Jordan Binnington in the 1st period, forcing Binnington out of the game and bringing Ville Husso into the goal in relief.
Kadri was not called for a penalty on the play, as he was driving the net hard to try to bat in the rebound. He was tangled up with Blues defenseman Calle Rosen as he collided wth Binngington, who was very slow to get up and went straight off the ice once he did.
Binnington was leading all goaltenders in the postseason with a 1.75 GAA prior to the start of Game 3. He was also tied for 4th in wins with 4 and 2nd in save percentage with a .948.
