As is tradition, each member of the Avs will have their day with the Cup and, as we know, Kadri will start his day in London, Ontario, his hometown, at his local London Muslim Mosque, which will mark the first time in history that the Stanley Cup will have visited a Mosque. What we didn't know was what the rest of Kadri's day looked like. That is, until now.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, Kadri also plans to bring the Cup to Toronto to share his day with the fans who have loved and supported him from day one. Also, no doubt, to rub some salt in the wounds of Shanahan and Dubas who believed they couldn't win with Kadri. As it turns out, they could have and Kadri likely intends to remind them of that.
I don't think it's Kadri's primary goal to be petty and boast to MLSE. The primary objective is likely to celebrate with his many supporters in Toronto. You just know that Kadri has every intention of partying extra hard on August 27th. It's just too bad it's to celebrate a Cup win with the Avs instead of a Cup win with the Leafs.
