One of the newest additions to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, made the headlines on June 26th, mere moments after winning the first Stanley Cup of his young career. I am, of course, talking about the infamous "Stanley Cup drop".

Now, just two months later, Aube-Kubel is back in the hockey headlines, this time for immortalizing his Stanley Cup moment in the form of a hilarious tattoo, depicting the Stanley Cup with "2022" written across the top ring of the base, an Avalanche logo sweeping across and his trademark dent on the lower front side of the base.

The Leafs inked Aube-Kubel to a 1-year, $1M contract during the first day of free agency on July 13th. Aube-Kubel appears poised to be a part of a new-look 4th line for the Buds, though it's possible that he finds himself in a position to earn a look in the middle six during training camp and the preseason in September.
