One such player who is likely to be moved is Edmonton Oilers winger Jesse Puljujarvi, who was selected 4th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Puljujarvi's struggles this season are no secret, with the 24-year-old having scored just 4 goals this season and tallying 10 points over 49 games. Having said that, he's still a very intriguing reclamation project and at least 7 teams see value.
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, St. Louis, Anaheim, Buffalo, Columbus, Arizona, Montreal and Chicago all have varying levels of interest in bringing in the former 4th overall pick.
Seravalli did add, however, that there is a bit of a caveat. If any of these teams agree to take on Puljujarvi, amid all of his obvious struggles, they also want the Oilers to add a sweetener.
This past summer, we saw the Leafs pluck a 3rd round pick and a 7th round pick from Ottawa in exchange for taking on 75% of Matt Murray's contract. Puljujarvi doesn't have the term or the high cap hit that Murray had, so it's likely that the asset that the Oilers would include wouldn't be much more than a late round pick.
