Jesse could still be an effective player and there's time to help his development. Coming off of a season that saw him post career highs with 22 assists and 36 points, Puljujarvi is showing signs of life. If the Buds can acquire him for another struggling prospect or a player that is buried in our pipeline, he could provide some physicality in the top six and could fit well with captain
John Tavares and
William Nylander.
Playing in a third line role to start might be the best option to start out, until Puljujarvi adjusts, learns the new system and finds his scoring touch. Since he is an effective two-way forward, he may fit very well with
David Kampf to start out.
