Oilers under fire for price-gouging fans this season

The Edmonton Oilers released their concession prices to fans for the 2022-2023 season and needless to say, the pricing is far from fair and the Oilers faithful are not happy.

With prices at an all-time high, just a hot dog and draught beer costs over $20, and that's the cheapest combo available. For reference, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has been notorious for charging higher-than-usual prices at Scotiabank Arena for years, and this season, it looks like the Oilers are out-gouging even MLSE in that department.

Just a hamburger costs over $14, with chicken tenders and fries being over $17. In comparison, a deluxe chicken sandwich at Scotiabank arena is just about $13, and popcorn for $8.50. Pricing at arenas and stadiums is always high, but the Oilers are really not doing their fans any favours this season - and the fans are rightfully ticked off.
