P.K. Subban responds to rumours that he was negotiating a contract with Eastern Canadian team
This past week, there was some chatter about P.K. Subban perhaps eyeing a deal in Vancouver, which was very quickly shut down by Canucks President of Hockey Ops, Jim Rutherford.
The Canucks weren't the only team, however, that Subban had been linked to North of the border. He has also been linked to the place where it all started - the Montreal Canadiens. Subban himself has stated to the media that these rumours are completely false.
I just exchanged messages with the agent of @PKSubban1, still looking for a contract. There was no contract about him with the Canadiens.
Subban has 10 days to secure a deal if he hopes to be a full participant in training camp. If Subban can't lock down a new deal or a PTO before camps open up, he could still find a deal with a team who is facing injury issues at the position.
