Perp apprehended and charges laid following the violent death of a 23-year-old hockey player
Some tragic and brutal news to announce stemming from an altercation between a 37-year-old man and 23-year-old Roman Didur in Russia over the weekend that led to the young player being stabbed and killed in Moscow while out celebrating his birthday.
Sport24.ru outlined details of the brutal murder, revealing that Didur and the accused had been engaged in a heated argument while entering a café early Sunday morning and after exchanging words, Didur was stabbed in the chest. An ambulance was called, but Didur died at the scene.
The video below shows the accused waiving a knife at several people prior to the stabbing (which is NOT shown in the video).
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Didur's family, friends, teammates and those who were present to witness the heinous crime. What a truly heartbreaking story.
