Just when we think things are finally going Petr Mrazek's way, the 30-year-old netminder was forced to leave Tuesday's game in Boston during the first period with a lower-body injury.

Mrazek was starting in back-to-back games for the Leafs and had just seemed to be gaining some steam and finding his stride when he was struck with a sudden groin injury while moving laterally to try to make a cross-crease save.

Mrazek had suffered a pair of groind injuries to start the season and missed significant time, leading to stretches where both Michael Hutchinson and Joseph Woll got into some games for the Leafs. In total, including rookie Erik Kallgren, who took over in relief of Mrazek tonight, the Leafs have used five different goaltenders this season.

The silver lining for the Leafs here is that Jack Campbell appears very close to a return to action. We could see him as soon as Thursday back in Toronto against the Winnipeg Jets or Saturday in Philadelphia against the Flyers.

In the meantime, the net belongs to Kallgren, so hopefully he can put together a strong game tonight against the Bruins to build some confidence for Thursday's game against he Jets, just in case Campbell is not quite ready to go.

Mrazek has appeared in 19 games for the Leafs this season, holding a record of 12-6-0 and posting a 3.31 GAA to go along with a .890 SV%.
