We're only two months into the hockey season and trade talks have been running wild, with notable players on the trading block. One of the most prominent players that could be traded is Vancouver's captain, Bo Horvat, who is in the final year of his contract with the team.

The Canucks signed J.T Miller to a seven-year $56-million contract this past offseason, seemingly the final nail in the coffin regarding a new deal with Horvat.

Although a trade isn't imminent in this case, it does seem likely. There are several cities Horvat could go to, and Toronto is on that list. However, his hometown team would have to give up quite a bit to meet what Vancouver would want in exchange.

A deal like the one Steve Dangle mentions in the video above does not seem worth it to me. The Leafs do not need another top center, and they surely do not need to trade their top prospects and a first-round pick to get one. Yes, Horvat is a good player and having a great season so far, but he's not a missing piece the Leafs need - at least not at that price.
