The business side of hockey can be cutthroat, but it's not just limited to players being bought out, being sent down or having their contracts terminated. The same can be said for hockey media members, as we found out the hard way on Wednesday, as Bell Media has announced more cuts. This time, it impacts Leafs Nation.

Per an official report on Wednesday, Bell Media has decided to scrap TSN1050's "Leafs Lunch", hosted by Julia Tocheri and Michael DiStefano.

The program first launched back in 2013 and has seen a number of hosts over the years, including Bryan Hayes, Jamie McLennan, Andi Petrillo, and the two aforementioned hosts.

In all, 1300 jobs are being cut by Bell Media and the impacts are far-reaching. A number of radio stations are in the process of being sold, including TSN 1260 in Edmonton.

TSN 1050 is not one of the stations being sold, thankfully. It will continue to operate and programs such as First Up and OverDrive are expected to continue on as normal. Still, it's a dark time for sports radio in Toronto with the loss of Leafs Lunch, which has been a staple for a decade.
