Some unfortunate news as the reigning Norris Trophy winner, Adam Fox, will not be able to participate in the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Game in Las Vegas next weekend.

Fox, 23, suffered an upper-body injury in the third period of the Rangers' Thursday evening matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets after taking a hit from Blue Jackets defender Vladislav Gavrikov, which caused him to spill hard into the boards.

The dynamic blueliner is expected to be out of action until after the All-Star break and, as a result, Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov has found himself with a ticket to Vegas to represent the Metropolitan Division at next weekend's festivities.

Kuznetsov, 29, is enjoying a massive rebound season after a disappointing 2020-21 campaign that saw him post just 29 points in 41 games. The Russian forward is over a point per game this season, notching 13 goals and 43 points in just 42 games.

Fun fact, the last time Kuznetsov played at a point-per-game pace, he carried that heat into the playoffs and the Capitals won the Stanley Cup.
