Recent survey reveals that Leafs fans drink more than any other fanbase while watching a game
Here's a fun one for ya! A recent study delved into which team's fanbase drinks the most alcohol during games. Obviously, hockey and beer go hand in hand, but this one is extra special for Leafs fans. Congrats folks, you're the "booziest" fans in hockey!
Per the study, which was published on April 20th, Leafs fans consume 3.9 drinks per game on average, which edges out Chicago (3.8), Tampa Bay (3.7) and Colorado (3.7). The average cost for those 3.9 drinks amounted to $60.
The data for the study was acquired by surveying nearly 1,600 hockey fans over the age of 21, but with an average age of 36 years old. Fans were asked for an average number of drinks consumed during the game and how much they spent on those drinks.
Insert jokes here about how Leafs fans are constantly drinking away their sorrows. You know that's how people will interpret it. But, as Leafs fans, let's call it what it is. We like to party. Ok.. maybe a little bit of the first thing too..
