Buckle up, folks - I think this is shaping up to be a wild draft day. First, we thought there was a deal in place between Marc-Andre Fleury and the Minnesota Wild, but Kevin Weekes, the man who originally broke the news, sent a retraction tweet that Fleury was still very much in play. Now, we're hearing that the Senators had a deal in place to move goaltender Matt Murray that was negated due to Murray using his limited trade protection to block the deal.

Per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Buffalo Sabres were believed to have pushed to get a deal done with the Sens to bring in Murray, a two-time Stanley Cup Champion, but that Murray had included Buffalo on his 10-team no-trade list and chose to stick with with his list and block the trade.

Murray is another guy who has been loosely linked to the Leafs in recent weeks, though it's unlikely that the Leafs go that route unless the Sens buy out the final two years of Murray's deal. The other option is to have the Senators eat 50% of Murray's $6.25M cap hit for the next two years, but even then, Murray at $3.125M for the next two seasons may not be THAT much of an upgrade over Petr Mrazek given a significant drop off in his play in recent years.

I have a feeling once we see one domino fall, we'll begin to see more deals take place. The question is, will those deals begin today, or will we be waiting until closer to the opening of free agency next week?
