First, the Sabres chased Eichel out of town by not agreeing to let him have disc replacement surgery and now it appears that their anthem singer has had gone to Vegas as well. Ok, not really, but can we just pretend?

Anyhow.. the Sabres had goaltender Malcolm Subban singing the Star Spangled Banner ahead of Buffalo's final game of the season on Friday and, honestly, it wasn't bad.

Subban has been on LTIR most of the season, so he has had some time to work on his singing chops. Not only did he hit the higher notes without voice cracking, but he managed to hold the final notes as well. There were times he was doing his best to sing through a smile and the reaction of the players on both teams when he hit the higher notes was great. When Subban hit the final note, not only did the crowd give him a loud ovation, but players from both teams banged their sticks on the boards to congratulate him.
