Sam Bennett lays by far the biggest hit of the 2021-22 season

The Columbus Blue Jackets shocked the Eastern Conference-leading Florida Panthers on Thursday, skating away with a 6-3 road win in Sunrise.

While the Blue Jackets walked away with the victory, they did not make it to the final buzzer completely unscathed as with a little over 4 minutes remaining, Panthers forward Sam Bennett lined up rookie forward Cole Sillinger and blasted him with a hit that almost sent him to the shadow realm.

I'm equal levels speechless and curious as to how Sillinger even got up and skated away from that one.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we find out tomorrow that Sillinger will miss some time with a concussion, but hopefully he can avoid that fate.
