During the opening press conference for media day, the first day of training camp, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe commented on multiple things and one of them was where Nick Robertson will fit into the lineup and what kind of opportunity will he get. Leafs Nation has been waiting for Robertson to step it up and play full time in the NHL for a year or two now and hopefully this is the season we see him take that step.

"He's going to get opportunity. He's going to play with good players and get an opportunity to contribute.

-Keefe on Robertson

That's exactly what the former second round pick needs. It doesn't help that Robertson has suffered multiple injuries along the way, which hasn't helped his journey into the big leagues.

Nick Robertson, 21, was selected in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2019 NHL entry draft. He showed tons of promise during his time with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), putting up an astounding 55 goals and 86 points in 46 games during the 2019-2020 season. Just last year he scored 16 goals and 28 points in 28 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies. The kid can play - he just needs to find his stride at the NHL level.
