Some good news to report on Tuesday, as Pittsburgh's Kris Letang has returned to the ice just a week after he suffered a stroke, the second one he has had during his career. Like the first one, Letang's most recent stroke is expected to keep him out of game action for an indefinite period of time, but the fact that he has already resumed skating is a great sign.

While there was a great deal of concern initially, Letang has said that he plans and expects to be back before the end of the season - which is good news for the Penguins. Letang took to the ice this morning before Penguins practice and skated with assistant coach Ty Hennes.

Letang signed a new, 6-year deal with the Penguins in the off-season that will likely lead him right to the end of his career as he, Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby look to win their fourth Stanley Cup together. In 962 NHL games, Letang has amassed 662 points.
