Some heads were turned when Carter Hutton showed up in Toronto and was spotted on the ice at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday morning, working his way back from injury with the Leafs' staff before the morning skate. There was some speculation that we might even see Hutton in a Leafs jersey down the stretch somewhere in the final 11 games of the season.

Well, Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe shot that down almost immediately, revealing that Hutton's presence at SBA was mainly just to rehab from his injury in hopes that he will get to the point where a return to play is possible - but that if it does happen, it will be with the Marlies, not the Leafs.

"Really it's just about working his way back to health. I think if it gets to that point (returning to play) I think it would be more of a Marlies situation just to add additional depth to the organization. Obviously, we've had a number of injuries in goal this season at both levels."

The 36-year-old Thunder Bay, Ontario native is now with his 6th different organization over a 10-year NHL career.
