The Tampa Bay Lightning have life in the Stanley Cup Finals after a convincing 6-2 drubbing of the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 in Tampa on Monday. The series now rests at 2-1 Avs heading into an all-important Game 4 on Wednesday night.

The Avs were first on the board near the midway point of the first frame, but a trio of Tampa goals from Anthony Cirelli, Ondrej Palat and Nick Paul pushed the Bolts out in front and they never relinquished the lead from that point, as 6 different Lightning players found the back of the net in the contest, nearly putting up a touchdown on the Avalanche.

Following the game, the fans began to toss garbage and other items on the ice - something that is frowned upon even when a team is losing, never mind after a huge win. This didn't sit well with captain Steven Stamkos who skated out to the middle of the ice waving his hands in disapproval and shouting for Bolts fans to stop hurling items onto the ice and demanding better from the hometown faithful.

It's not something I've seen often, if I'm being completely honest. It's usually done as a sign of disrespect and frustration when a team is floundering. A bit of an odd situation for sure, and the captain was none too pleased.
