In what can only be described as an uncharacteristically long summer for the Bolts, the team may be a bit more bored than usual. How did they use the extra free time? Well, for one, they took to social media to share a clip of someone in the organization creating friendship bracelets for all 31 other NHL teams, which they have shipped out ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of the Lightning, but this is absolutely a hilarious troll job and one that I think several other teams may find funny, but also may give them some extra jam this year when they play the Bolts.
Taunting the enemy is not exactly the best of strategies at this time - especially when your team is no longer on the rise. The Bolts, as they get older and as they shed valuable players like Alex Killorn, Ondrej Palat and others, will begin to slip down a bit in the standings as they steer the bus towards an eventual rebuild after a very successful run with the current core. The last thing they need to do is make things harder on themselves by giving the opposition some whiteboard material.
