The Habs not only became the first team to finish 32nd overall, but they also set a record for man games lost due to injury this season. Including Weber and Price, the Habs totalled approximately 685 games lost due to injury. At times they were missing their top 3 defenseman, number 1 goalie and top 6 forwards all at once so it's understandable why they struggled so much. They also had a coach that failed to adapt and change how he deployed his players.
A shining light on the Habs season is how much better they played with St. Louis coaching and how he got Cole Caufield going after an awful up and down start to the season. The end of the season is something to build on and this years draft will certainly help their future as they have 10 picks in the first 4 rounds. The future looks decent for the Habs but even if you doubled their point total from this season they would still be 7 points behind the Leafs
