Last night during the Leafs' 4-1 win over the Jets, Timothy Liljegren left the game after taking a puck to the helmet. He likely had to enter concussion protocol following the incident, but luckily, he was present at the Leafs' practice earlier today.
It was hard to tell the extent of what exactly happened to the defenseman following the play. However, it seems Liljegren's in the clear and will join the team as they head to Montreal for Saturday's matchup against the Canadiens.
Liljegren currently has 11 points over 35GP this season. He missed training camp and the beginning of the season while he recovered from sports hernia surgery, then suffered an upper-body injury in December when the Leafs played the Rangers in New York City.
Despite having setbacks, Liljegren is enjoying a quality season for the Buds, which makes the news that he's in the clear following last night's game all the better.
